I have had the honor and pleasure of enjoying glimpses into the unique and fascinating lives of others. So I knew their backgrounds and histories would enrich and inspire others as they had me.

Subject
Inspirational autobiography.
What
The author’s experience when she was sent, without notice, to live with a family of abusive relatives. As a result of the severe and long lasting abuse she suffered the writer has battled debilitating neurological illnesses that have sometimes been too mysterious to diagnose accurately, as well as cancer. Yet she managed to overcome her physical disorders to lead a fulfilling life as a mother and worker and write this warm and eye-opening memoir.

American woman of African descent in her seventies.
Subject
The upbringing of the author in a tumultuous two-parent household. Married at 17 and later the divorced mother of two, the author had the faith and pluck to earn an education and rise through the ranks to a responsible executive position in a well-known American company. The book also describes the extensive charitable activities she undertakes to make a contribution to others.

The author’s childhood of sibling sexual abuse, jobs as an adult, unsatisfying relationships with men, intractable illnesses, and finally, how she surmounted all of these to find her emotional and spiritual center and help others.
